Last year I began a drawing series showing common experiences myself and many women in the music industry face. Situations that are so cringe-worthy, they're funny!
We have come a long way in recent years to create a more diverse and equal community in the music industry but there is still a lot of work to be done. My goal with these drawings is simply to make people aware of how it feels to be a woman in this industry without shame or finger wagging but with humour and an open heart.
I have put one of these drawings on a t-shirt for the first time and all profit will go to the incredible Power Within Project to help the youngsters develop strong body confidence and self esteem. I expect we shall see some pretty incredible, confident young women entering this industry soon!
