about

St. Paul’s out now! I believe that much of the therapeutic and cathartic benefit of music is diminished when it’s over-explained. But I will say- There are millions of people around the world dealing with chronic health conditions such as endometriosis who are largely ignored or mis-diagnosed.
This song is especially for all those who feel they are being betrayed by their own bodies.

The video uses techniques that both speed up and slow down time as a visual representation of the distortion of time and reality that comes with being heavily medicated and alone.

lyrics

I told you not to take me here
I might just turn to dust and ashes blowing in the air
Invading my dreams, speaking in tongues
Wish I could scream at the top of my lungs
Stare out the window at the red sunken sun
Should I let myself float or can I still run
Out of time
You don’t wanna die… do ya?

I have a name that no one knows
They only know my veins and how to fill them full of holes
Wrong kind of high, asleep or awake
Seconds go by.. or has it been days
Stare out the window at the red sunken sun
Should I let myself float or can I still run
Out of time
You don’t wanna die… do ya?
Why am I still here at all

about

Kandle Montreal, Québec

Weaving a thrum of trip-hop downbeats, brilliant, gut wrenching lyrics, and her signature, sultry, haunting vocals, Kandle is back! She knows too well the darkness we all face, and with these songs she reaches out to all those who wish to be understood but feel they aren’t. Kandle can weave this magic so powerfully because she feels it too, she is out here in the darkness with us. ... more
